Background

Karen Scott has an LLB (Hons) and an LLM (Distinction) from the University of Nottingham. She was previously a lecturer at the University of Nottingham before being appointed a Senior Lecturer at the University of Canterbury in 2006.

Karen's research interests include: the Law of the Sea, International Environmental Law, Antarctic Legal Studies, and Public International Law.

Karen is the editor of the New Zealand Yearbook of International Law and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Water Law. She is a member of the Executive Council of the Australian and NEw Zealand Society of International Law.
